AL NABOODA: WE MADE GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS LAST YEAR Dec 22, 2022

The owner and breeder, Khalid Khalifa Al Naboodah, naturally expressed his happiness at achieving 400 victories in the UAE. Al Naboodah revealed, in an interview with Adiyat Racing Plus, that the production of Purebred Arabian racehorses in UAE has proven its worth despite the difficult challenges. Al Nabooda dedicated his achievement to the spirit of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who supported and advised as he set out on his breeding journey.

NOTABLE MILESTONE

The mark of 400 wins is a milestone in the career of any horse owner and breeder, and Al Naboodah says he owes a lot of credit for that to those who preceded him on this path and to the pioneers of production and horse racing in the UAE, led by Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, as he said: “The guidance of the pioneers from whom I learned was invaluable and I have to give them great credit for putting me on the path and they are the ones who made this achievement a reality.”

UAE PRODUCTION IS FINE

Al Nabooda views the local production of Purebred Arabian horses in the UAE as a message of life and a mission that should not be forsaken, regardless of the challenges. There are many challenges and facing them requires the solidarity of all producers, owners and officials to preserve the local product in the Emirates, he added.

ACHIEVEMENTS & INCENTIVES

Al Nabooda considered the achievements he achieved last season, which culminated in awards for the Champion Owner, most successful breeder and standing the best stallion, as an incentive for more success, saying: “I thank the Emirates Racing Authority, led by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, as well as the Emirates Association for the Arabian horses and all of them provided incentive prizes for the breeders, and we had the honour of winning several prizes last season, but we stress that production needs controlled  perseverance and patience.

ENCOURAGING LOCAL PRODUCE

Al Nabooda adopts the idea of supporting the local product and strongly encourages small producers. He says: “The Emirati product must be preserved, producers supported and motivated by providing races dedicated to local production with attractive prizes so that they can cover their expenses and achieve success, and with the owner’s freedom to buy from inside or outside the country. “However, supporting local production is a duty to maintain the UAE's leadership in this field."
