HATS, HEELS AND HORSES AT DUBAI RACING CARNIVAL’S FASHION FRIDAY

The Stakes have never been higher both on and off the track at Meydan Racecourse as the new ‘Fashion Friday’ meeting takes centre stage on January 26th. Featuring an all-Stakes nine-race programme, this is one of the biggest meetings of the year in the Middle East. Both turf and dirt tracks will see horses battle it out from all over the world, competing for a share of more than AED10million in prize money.

There are two feature races; the G1 Maktoum Challenge – a prep race for the $12million Dubai World Cup – and the G1 Jetta Hatta, prep for the $5million Dubai Turf. The action off the track will be red hot too, with the famous Style Stakes returning – a chance to show off your best racewear in the most glamorous of surroundings, with Emaar sponsoring four of the competitions.

All hospitality guests have the chance to compete for prizes in the fashion competition, and there are a range of dining packages designed for the event. Style Stakes at The Terrace, boasting unparalleled views of the track and Parade Ring, offers a soft drinks package for just AED345 per head, rising to AED475 for house beverages. There is also the option of Ladies Night in the Parade Ring Lounge, with packages costing AED325 available for women only.

For those preferring fine dining, the Winner’s Circle Restaurant offers a three-course dinner for AED345 for soft drinks and AED445 for house beverages. There is also the option of Paddock View, with an outdoor space to make the most of the cool winter evenings. The buffet-style package in Paddock View is priced at AED365 for soft drinks and AED475 for house beverages.
